About Us

The Alberta Gambling Research Institute is a consortium of the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and the University of Lethbridge. Its primary purpose is to support and promote research into gambling in the Province of Alberta.

[PLEASE NOTE:  The Institute changed the word “gaming” in its name to “gambling” as of September 27, 2011 and both versions of the Institute name, web address and email address will be seen throughout the website and related documents depending on the date of posting/production.]
